MATTEO FIENO
Matteo Fieno (19/01/1981) is a contemporary figurative artist who has held numerous solo and group exhibitions both in Italy and abroad.
His solo exhibitions are accompanied by a catalogue/diary where stories and reflections accompany each work, giving life to real dialogues between art and literature.
His work has been published, among others, in the national newspaper La Stampa, MarieClaire, Artribune, Leggo and Il Mattino.
Matteo Fieno employs various mediums such as pastel, watercolor, oil and acrylic paints, and oil pastels, to create striking representations of the female form. Drawing inspiration from Bohemian cultures and artists like Gauguin, Degas and Matisse, he crafts unique characters that express their identities through their poses, proportions, and colours. By keeping his artwork aesthetically simple and usually devoid of landscapes or objects, Fieno allows each character to command the viewer's attention and convey their individual personalities.
